Samuel Tatikonda TragicVisakhapatnam: Even before their dreams could be realized, fate has decided otherwise. Their plans to settle down in the USA were short-lived. The honeymoon, which many expected would end on cloud nine, was shattered in the backwaters of Kerala. Still heartbreaking is that they were together as man and wife for just 10 days. Truly to their wedding vows"till death do us part", they went down fighting for their lives at the world famous Backwater Village near Allepy in Kerala on Tuesday. Elimisetty Nagamani hailed from Bheemunipatnam while Meesala Krishna Sagar came from Visalakshinagar in the city. They were married on May 31 in Visakhapatnam. Nagamani did her B Tech and Sagar did his M Tech and was already working in the USA. Nagamani secured the US visa and was supposed to fly to USA after their honeymoon. Members of both the families were dumbfounded and were in a shock to speak. There was a steady flow of visitors to both the houses and people found it difficult to console the next of kin. Backwater Village, 50 km from Allepy is a famous resort for the newly married couples and holiday freaks. The backwater village runs 200 km into the sea from sea shore. The couple planned it well in advance to spend their time before embarking on their onward journey to the USA, said Bheemunipatnam Circle Inspector S Lakshmana Murthy. Relatives of both the boy and girl are in Kerala and will be bringing back the bodies by tomorrow evening, said Murthy.
