Visakhapatnam: Last date for submission of online applications for allotment of Row Housing units at Rushikonda through open auction has been extended up to September 2. Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (VUDA) vice-chairman N Yuvaraj said applications would be received online till September 2 and hard copies, along with DD for EMD and other documents, would be accepted at VUDA office till 5 pm on September 3. Auction would be conducted on September 10. The schedule was revised and dates extended in view of the prevailing situation in the State, Mr Yuvaraj said.
VUDA had developed the Row Housing project with 88 units in an area of 6.78 acres in Rushikonda area close to Vizag-Bheemili Beach Road as a gated community on European model with duplex type.
Twenty-two units were allotted through open auction long ago. After completion of construction in all aspects, notification was issued for disposal of the remaining units. Sixty-five units were available for allotment through open auction in four categories. Ten units in ‘A’ category with plinth area of 2,066 sq. ft (173.33 sq. yards), 41 units with plinth area of 2,114 sq. ft (173.33 sq. yards) in ‘B’ category, six units with plinth area of 2,222 sq. ft (187 sq. yards) in ‘C’ category and eight units with plinth area of 2,386 sq. ft (202.22 sq. yards) were available. Upset price was Rs 71 lakh for open auction for ‘A’ category, Rs 72 lakh for ‘B’ category, Rs 77 lakh for ‘C’ category and Rs 82.5 lakh for ‘D’ category.
The Row Housing project was developed with state-of-the-art amenities such as solar fencing, eye-catching landscaping, solar water heater to each unit and other community facilities. The project, situated in proximity to the IT SEZ, Ramanaidu Studio, Gitam University and other world-class private housing projects in Rushikonda area, is close to the beach front. Online application, full details of the open auction, terms and conditions and other details could be obtained from the VUDA website www.vuda.gov.in, Mr Yuvaraj said.
