Last date for applications extended to September 30

Visakhapatnam: The last date for submission of online applications for allotment of VUDA Row Housing units and plots in various layouts through auction has been extended up to September 30. Vice Chairman N Yuvaraj said the date has been extended keeping the inconveniences to the applicants due to the prevailing political situation and non-availability of transport.

Applications for both Row Housing and plots will be received online through VUDA website www.vuda.gov.in till September 30. Auction of Row Housing will be conducted on October 5 and for plots, the auction will be held on October 11, 12, the vice chairman said. So far 45 applications were received for Row Housing and 116 for plots in various layouts.

The Vice Chairman said that applications will not be issued on the day of auction to avoid vested interests and in trying to create escalation in price. The applicants were asked to mark the plot or row housing unit that they desire to purchase in the application itself. Clarifying on the submission of applications if there are more than one, the Vice Chairman said the cost of the application of Rs.500 shall be paid for each up to 10 applications and it will come down to Rs 250 for each from the 11th one onwards, which is not refundable. Applicants should submit fresh EMDs when they go for another plot of row housing units after becoming a successful bidder. Bank counters will be made available at the auction venue for obtaining DDs for EMD. The Vice Chairman said auction process for 12 plots in Yendada layout has been put aside due to a court case.

Stating about the allotment of odd bits available in VUDA layouts, the vice chairman said applications will be received online from September 1. Information on odd bits in VUDA layouts would be made available to all, he added. After receiving the applications, a committee consisting of heads of wings in VUDA will conduct field verification to decide the allotment and cost will be fixed as per the VUDA Board resolution.
