Paderu (Visakhapatnam): Employees of the Girijan Cooperative Corporation (GCC) of local and Chintapalli divisions of the Agency went on mass casual leave to participate in Samaikyandhra agitation on Tuesday. As 800 employees in the Agency boycotted duties leading to shutting of 518 ration shops and preventing supply of essential commodities and sale of forest products.
The GCC employees carried traditional umbrellas of the Agency area and took out a rally. On this occasion, leaders Chandrasekhar and V Neelakantam demanded that the move to divide the State should be immediately withdrawn. They said that a protest rally will be taken out at Chintapalli on Wednesday.
