Visakhapatnam: Telugu Shakti organised ‘Aatmagourava Sabha’ on the occasion of Samaikyandhra agitation completing 50 days on Tuesday. Telugu Shakti president BV Ram, who presided over the function, said the public representatives were cheating the people and disrespecting their sentiments. “The late NTR fought for the self-respect of Telugu people while his daughter, Daggubati Purandeswari, is cheating the people of Visakhapatnam. For her political survival, she is showing scant respect for the Telugu people,” he said.
“Ganta Srinivasa Rao is playing a game in the name of Non-Political JAC and it is nothing but a ‘Kapu Political JAC’. It is better if all leaders disrupt railways, ports, airports and other Public Sector Undertakings. Then, the Central government will wake up to the reality,” he said.
Government Whip and MLA Dronamraju Srinivas and West MLA Malla Vijaya Prasad said they were ready to do anything for a united Andhra Pradesh. “Power may come and go but the people’s sentiment should be respected,” they said and congratulated Mr Ram for organising the programme.
Praja Spandana president CS Rao, Non-Political JAC leader V Balmohana Das, YSR Congress Party leader D Prabha Goud, RTC JAC leader M Shankar Rao, Lawyer’s JAC leader K Adi Babu, L Kishore Kumar, Kandala Srinivasa Rao, Pitani Prasad, Pedada Ramani Kumari, JT Rama Rao, Shyam Sundar Naidu, Vangapandu, representatives of various NGOs and senior citizens participated in the programme.
