Sircilla: The District Collector, Krishna Bhaskar, advised the officials to achieve targets of the government’s prestigious programme 'Telangana ku Haritha Haraam'.

He chaired a review meeting with officials of various departments to discuss the implementation of Haritha Haram programme in the district in next year, at his chamber in the Collectorate here on Tuesday.

The Collector ordered the officials of DRDA, Horticulture and Forest departments to plant as many as 90 lakh saplings in the district. The DRDA officials were told to plant 18 lakh saplings of teak; horticulture department was told to plant about 10 lakh saplings; and the forest department to grow 62 lakh saplings of various other essential plants.

Collector Krishna Bhaskar said the Central government had sanctioned Rs 202 crores to the State under National Employment Guarantee Scheme. Out of this amount, Rs 150 crores would be allotted to daily wage workers, which would be directly added to their accounts.

He ordered the MPDO's of various mandals to upload the details of wages paid to daily wage workers of Haritha Haram and other works under Employment Guarantee Scheme along with allotting more number of days to the workers under this programme.

District Joint Collector Yasmine Basha, District Forest Officer Prakash, DRDO S Hanumantha Rao and Assistant Director of Horticulture department B Sridhar Rao were present along with others.
