Rich tributes paid to freedom fighters
College chairman Vaisyaraju Chandramouli Raju and principal Dr Pankaj Charan Jena flagged off the rally from Rama Lakshmana Junction in the town in which local freedom fighters and citizens participated.
Srikakulam: Students of Sri Vaishnavi College of Engineering at Singupuram village in the district took out a candle light rally on Wednesday paying homage to those who sacrificed their lives in freedom struggle.
College chairman Vaisyaraju Chandramouli Raju and principal Dr Pankaj Charan Jena flagged off the rally from Rama Lakshmana Junction in the town in which local freedom fighters and citizens participated.
Speaking on the occasion, Chandramouli Raju said main aim of the rally is to inculcate a sense of patriotism among youth with the inspiration of freedom fighters.
We should always remember such great personalities, who sacrificed lives for the the country, and the youth should work for unity and integrity of the nation,” he added.
Intellectuals B Kameswara Rao, P Venkob Rao and college secretary Dr Jami Bhima Sankara Rao also spoke. Directors B Lakshmana Rao, A Rama Rao, B Ramesh Kumar, Vaisyaraju Srivardhan and V Vamsi and faculty members also took part in the rally.
