NaMo’s rule is akin to Tuglaq’s: Suravaram

Hanamkonda: Communist Party of India (CPI) national general secretary Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy described Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rule at the Centre as ‘Tuglaq rule’.
He, along with the party national secretary K Narayana, addressed a public meeting held in Hanamkonda on Wednesday, concluding the party’s three-day State conference. He explained the plight of the common people in the backdrop of withdrawal of higher denomination currency.
Rich and corporate sections are safe as poor and middle class are suffering with Modi’s decision to withdraw Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 currency notes without making alternate arrangements. The rules related to cash exchange and deposits at banks were changed for nearly 14 times.
‘Is it not a Tuglaq rule and how long this kind of anarchy will continue?’ he posed.Sudhakar Reddy wanted the Centre to extend the time limit to use the withdrawn currency to December 30 to allow farmers to buy seeds, fertilisers and others needed for rabi season. The CPI would stage protests in this connection.
The BJP government at the Centre was being run at the behest of RSS and Sangh Pariwar, which were trying to demean and eliminate the Communists from the country. Atrocities were being committed on dalits and minorities in the name of ‘Hindutva’ and ‘Go Raksha’. The RSS, which was never part of Indian freedom struggle, has no right to speak about patriotism, he added.
Prior to coming power, the PM promised to create five crore jobs in the county annually, but creation of jobs not crossed 60 lakhs figure. With the labour laws reforms, the rights of labours were being harmed to benefit corporate forces.

Sudhakar Reddy has called upon the party cadre to build up strong public movements against the anti-people rule at State and Centre and to stand up in support of the poorer and suppressed sections. There was strong unrest among public against exploitative rule by the BJP and TRS regimes, he stated.
Without agitations it was not possible to ensure public welfare, he pointed out.Marking the State conference, the party workers took out a massive rally in the streets of Hanamkonda on the day. CPI State secretary Ch Venkat Reddy, senior leader Aziz Pasha, T Srinivasa Rao and others were present.
