Mancherial: Employees of Singareni have been facing hardships to withdraw their salaries that were credited in their accounts. The employees had to stand in serpentine queues for hours in front of banks.

Even then they had to return empty hands with non-availability of cash both at banks and ATM centers. They expressed their anguish stating that Singareni officials promised to setup special counters to ease the situation but nothing has been done so far.

At least 65,000 employees of the organisation have to receive salaries through banks.They said that it is a high time for coal production, which requires their presence. It would be hard for them to meet both the ends.

They appealed the government to facilitate with two mobile ATMs at mines. Disbursing Rs 10,000 in cash for the employees salaried between Rs 50,000 and Rs 1.5 lakh wouldn’t be enough and at least Rs 25,000 cash for each would be a relief.

The bank officials are disbursing just Rs 2000 for lack of sufficient money instead of Rs 10,000 as announced by the government leaving the employees flabbergasted.

Srirampur SBH manager Jagadish said that they would try to disburse Rs 10,000 in cash to government employees along with Singareni employees and requested their cooperation.
