Muslims conducts annadanam to Ayyappas
Devotees have taken up processions carrying religious flags in the main thoroughfares to marking the birthday. Many Muslims and community organisations organised meetings, where religious heads preached about the significance of the Prophet\'s birthday.
Warangal: Muslims across the district have offered special prayers and conducted preaching sessions onMonday Eid-e-Milad.The residences of Muslims, Mosques, Dargahs and Madrassas were decked up with flags and banners to mark the birthday of the founder of Islam, Prophet Mohammed.

On the day, in a rare gesture, Muslims have offered prayers at Shivalayam and conducted ‘Annadanam’ to those who have taken ‘Ayyappa Deeksha’ at Kazipet.
The programme was held under the aegis of the local Peace Committee. Warangal (West) MLA D Vinay Bhasker who attended the pogramme as guest lauded the gesture by Muslims and said “Acts like this will deepen the spirit of religious harmony and unity in our society”.
