Mancherial: CPI district committee secretary K Shankar on Thursday said that the CPI would stage a dharna in front of the Collectorate on December 20 demanding house site pattas for the poor.

Addressing a press conference, he pointed out that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao failed to fulfill electoral promises like assignment of three acre land to the landless tribals, KG to PG free education and regularisation of services of contract workers.


He also said that the State government failed to release funds for Pranahita-Chevalla lift-irrigation scheme. Party leaders Linga Murthy, Regunta Chandra Sekhar, Narayana and other volunteers were also present.
