Addressing the protestors, leaders of the three student organisations accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of laying a red carpet to politicians from Andhra Pradesh to establish private universities. 

Karimnagar: Activists of AISF, SFI and PDSU, opposing the government’s proposal to allow private universities, set fire an effigy of the government. Earlier they performed a mock funeral here on Friday.

Addressing the protestors, leaders of the three student organisations accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of laying a red carpet to politicians from Andhra Pradesh to establish private universities.

The student leaders said they oppose this move and also KCR’s education policy.Student leaders Manikanta Reddy, Rajanikanth and Suridu told The Hans India that the three organisations opposing launching of private universities in the State.

They alleged that KCR has changed his earlier tune of changing private education policy and now trying to encourage private universities.

They warned that the organisations would banish the TRS government from the State as was done in the case of Andhra politicians during the separatist State agitation.
