More jobs for skilled youth in private sector: Collector

Karimnagar: Professionally skilled persons have plenty of opportunities in private sector, District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmad said after inaugurating Rural Self Employment Training Centre at LMD in Thimmapur mandal on Wednesday. State Bank of Hyderabad has organised the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said since last five to six years both the Central and the State governments are concentrating more on providing self employment opportunities to youth.

It is not possible for every individual to get a government job. Unemployed youth would be given free training at this centre to grab jobs in private sectors, he added.

The government would sanction loans linked with banks to unemployed youth to establish their own firms or units, who can provide job opportunities to others.

The training centre was established at a cost of Rs 1 crore for unemployed educated youth of four districts. The youth must utilise this golden opportunity by getting training in this centre, advised the Collector.

SBH Managing Director Shanthan said the training centre was equipped with all modern facilities to provide perfect training to the unemployed youth belonging to four districts.

Till date about 4,318 jobless youth were given training in other training centres established by SBH. Of these, 3,100 members have established their own units.

Along with training, the youth were provided with free meals and boarding facilities. Loans would be sanctioned under Mudra Scheme after the training was completed.

SBH Warangal branch General Manager Manikandan, Divisional General Manager Bibi Behar and Assistant General Manager Gangadhar were present along with others.
