Hanamkonda: District Congress president N Rajender Reddy demanded the State government to immediately release DSC notification to fill up vacant teacher posts.

The Congress leader has on Tuesday flagged off a massive ‘Padayatra’ from Kakatiya University to Osmania University taken up the Telangana Unemployed Students Joint Action Committee (TUSJAC) seeking DSC notification.

Rajender Reddy speaking to presspersons on the occasion, accused the government of playing with the lives of thousands of unemployed youth by delaying the notification. The Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao, who promised one lakh jobs to youth has failed to deliver the promise.

The JAC chairman Koturi Manavatha Roy complained that the State government was turning blind eye to the demand of unemployed youth, who desperately waiting for the DSC notification. There were nearly 45,000 teacher posts were vacant in the State and they should be immediately filled up.

Many unemployed youth were committing suicide unable to bear the stress. Care should be taken to see that the job notification to be issued should not get caught in legal hurdles, Roy added.

D Ed Students Association state president R Rammohan Reddy, the JAC district chairman A Karthik, OU NSUI leaders Maskapuram Naresh, the JAC OU chairman B Lachi Reddy its leaders L Srinivas, and others were present.
