Peddapalli: The government will help and support the farmers, who lost their lands under various projects, assured District in-charge Collector S Prabhakar Reddy.

He chaired a review meeting with the farmers, who lost their lands due to Medaram reservoir, at the Collectorate conference hall here on Tuesday.

The in-charge Collector said that for the construction of Medaram reservoir under the package of 6 and 7 of Kaleshwaram project, the government had acquired 192 acres by issuing G O No: 120 along with convincing the farmers in and around Medaram and Chamanapally villages.

Apart from solving the problems the farmers were facing, the government will pay compensation to those, who lost their fields due to Kaleshwaram project construction, within 10 to 15 days, he assured.

The in-charge Collector will inspect the construction works of Kaleshwaram project at Medaram and Chamanpally villages on Wednesday (September 6) and the construction of wells.
