Jagtial: Students could realise their goals and scale greater heights in their lives with firm determination by setting goals and concentrating more on their studies, advised District Collector Dr. A Sharath here in the town on Tuesday.

The Collector participated in a programme organised by Rotary Club jointly with the Jagtial Club in the town and distributed note books, belts and identity cards to the students. Speaking on the occasion, he urged students to properly utilise the opportunities available to them. The students must focus on their studies to excel, he added.

He said that it is the responsibility of the teachers to provide quality education to the students. By utilising their opportunities, some students could scale greater heights and settle down comfortably, he added.

The District Collector said that the quality of education was very high in government schools, free of cost. If students select the correct path, they would prosper, but if not, they would suffer, he cautioned.

The teachers and the students must work hard to achieve 100 percent results in coming up SSC examinations along with planting one sapling each to make the school and home atmosphere with full of greenery, suggested the Collector.

Dr Sharat lauded the representatives of the Rotary Club and Jagtial Club for organising such programmes which would help many students.

The Jagtial Municipal Chairperson T Vijay Lakshmi, Dr. Sanjay Kumar, OLD High School Headmaster Padmakar, MEO Narayana, Rotary Club President Sircilla Srinivas, Jagitial club Secretary S V Suryam and others were present.
