Trade unions fall short of promises
With nothing to say neither about the developments that took so far nor about future activities, it seems not a single trade union has anything better to promise in the sixth phase of recognised trade union elections.

The main issues like hereditary jobs, which are against constituency, are in court litigation. It is high time for the unions to come up with electoral promises.
The leaders of various unions going for campaign may have to face resistance from workers.
Telangana Coal Mines Trade Union (TCMTU), the recognised union will become the main victim. Both the incumbent union and the National Trade Union (NTU) are being blamed for failing to implement hereditary jobs.
The NTU can boast of its capability in implementing tenth pay scale revision while TCMTU can point out its achievement in implementing share in the profits.
The TCMTU is also planning to promise employment for 425 workers, who had been terminated due to lack of attendance. It can also promise increasing maternity leaves for women workers. The NTU can promise increase of Diwali bonus for workers.
The only scope for all the unions is that each of it can promise maximum share in the profits. It has become a big deal for every union to come up with electoral promises as there are no issues except providing jobs and mines setting up.
