Peddapalli: The district officials were ordered to ensure that the welfare schemes introduced by the State government will reach all the people across the district.

In-charge Collector S Prabhakar Reddy and MLA Putta Madhu inaugurated the distribution of Bathukamma sarees at the premises of Manthini village panchayat in Peddapalli on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, the in-charge Collector said the Bathukamma sarees will be distributed to all eligible women, aged above 18 years, from 9 am to 6 pm on Monday and Tuesday. He suggested the beneficiaries to follow queue line and to show their Aadhaar card.

Kalyana Lakshmi cheques and sheep rearing units will be distributed to the beneficiaries on Tuesday. The officials must take necessary steps to make the welfare schemes reach the people, ordered the Collector.

Reminding that the government had distributed clothes on Ramzan and Christmas, MLA Putta Madhu said that the government is distributing sarees to women for Bathukamma festival this year. This will also uplift the handloom workers in the State.

Several schemes like KCR Kit, Kalyana Lakshmi, Shadi Mubarak, Sheep Rearing Scheme and many more were introduced by the State government for the welfare of the people along with supplying 24-hour uninterrupted power for the farming sector and giving Rs 8,000 for two crops per acre to the farmers from the next monsoon, he informed.

The Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao, has been taking steps to bring out white revolution in the State for enormous production of milk by distributing two lakh buffaloes to the farmers on subsidy, he added.

Rural Development Officer Padmaiah, Manthini Sarpanch Putta Shailaja and local peoples’ representatives were present along with the officials.
