Asifabad: A family welfare committee, headed by district judge will be constituted to deal with dowry harassment and domestic violence cases, said Superintendent of Police Sunpreet Singh.

He held a review meeting on crime at police headquarters here on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, he advised the police to be alert and spontaneous to reduce crime rate.

“A strict vigil on criminals with similar modus operandi should be maintained. Vehicle riders should be sensitised on thefts,” he added.

He stressed on the security arrangements to be made for Singareni recognised unions elections and other coming festivals. He went through station wise crimes and their progress.

Kagaznagar DSP Habib Khan, ACB CI Sudhakar, circle inspectors, sub inspectors, PRO Manohar and others took part in the meeting.
