People advised to utilise mobile veterinary services
People should adopt to the modern life style and technology and must utilise the ‘mobile veterinary services’ free of cost for protecting their cattle by providing better health services, advised District in-charge Collector S Prabhakar Reddy.

Along with MLA Dasari Manohar Reddy, he inaugurated mobile veterinary service vehicle at the Collectorate here on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, the in-charge Collector said that the farmers can dial the toll-free number: 1962 to get emergency health services to their cattle.
The mobile veterinary vehicle with veterinary doctor and other staff will reach the spot within 30 minutes to check the cattle, he added.
Whenever the cattle, goats and sheep met with accidents or suffering from diseases or when they are attacked by wild animals, the farmers can dial the toll-free number for providing treatment.
Three mobile veterinary vehicles along with veterinary doctor and three helpers are available to provide emergency health services to cattle across the district.
The vehicles are provided with all necessary medical equipment along with medical lab and required medicines for treating the cattle in emergency conditions.
The farmers must utilise the mobile veterinary services provided by the government in association with IMRI along with acquiring knowledge for getting better yield of milk and steps to prevent contagious diseases to their cattle, the in-charge Collector advised.
MLA Dasari Manohar Reddy said the Telangana government is striving hard for improving the economical standards of the people living in villages.
As part of that, the government introduced sheep rearing scheme to shepherd community along with introducing mobile veterinary vehicles for providing better health services to the cattle, he added.
The government is distributing fishlings on 100 per cent subsidy to the fishermen along with developing lakes and tanks for their betterment and also taking steps for sanctioning Rs 8,000 per one acre for two crops to the farmers from next year, he informed.
District Animal Husbandry Officer Rajanna and staff members of animal husbandry and CMR departments were present along with others.
