National Girl Week celebrations from Oct 9
District Welfare Officer (DWO) Sarada stated that the National Girl Week celebrations will be organised from October 9 to 14 as part of Beti Bachao- Beti Padhao (Save Daughter, Educate Daughter) campaign in Karimnagar. On the occasion, Karimnagar MP B Vinod Kumar had released Beti Bachao- Beti Padhao poster at the Collectorate conference hall here on Monday.
Karimnagar: District Welfare Officer (DWO) Sarada stated that the National Girl Week celebrations will be organised from October 9 to 14 as part of Beti Bachao- Beti Padhao (Save Daughter, Educate Daughter) campaign in Karimnagar. On the occasion, Karimnagar MP B Vinod Kumar had released Beti Bachao- Beti Padhao poster at the Collectorate conference hall here on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, DWO Sarada said that girl child is an ornament for the society and it is everyone’s responsibility to protect her and to lay firm foundation for her bright future.
Every girl child should be given balanced and nutritious diet for her physical growth and strength and child marriages should be strictly prevented in the society, she said.
“By extending a helping hand to girl child, let us lay foundation for Bangaru Telangana,” she said and administered the Beti Bachao- Beti Padhao pledge by everyone.
State Cultural Department Chairman Rasamai Balakishan, Libraries Department Chairman Anugu Ravinder, MLAs Gangula Kamalakar, Bodiga Shoba, City Mayor Ravinder Singh, Deputy Mayor Ramesh, District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed, Rural Development Officer Raja Goud, Social Worker Kavitha Devi and the officials of Child Protection Department were present along with others.
