Karimnagar: Development of a region occurs rapidly with the construction of National Highways, said Finance Minister Eatala Rajender here on Monday. The Minister chaired a review meeting with the officials to discuss on land acquisition for the construction of Jagtial - Warangal and Warangal - Khammam Highways here at the Collectorate conference hall.

Speaking at the meeting, Rajender ordered the officials to take necessary measures for the development of Chowrasthas (Main Centres) while constructing the national highways along without intercepting Mission Bhagiratha pipelines during construction works.

The construction of 130 km Highway from Jagtial to Warangal will be done in four phases – road will be laid from Thatipalli to Kurikyala in the first phase, from Kurikyala to Munjampalli in second phase, from Edulaguttapalli to Thummanapalli in third phase and from Bornapalli to Bheemaram will be laid in the final phase.
