Sulthanabad: Peddapally MLA Dasari Manohar Reddy on Wednesday urged the people to cooperate in implementing the prestigious project introduced by the State government ‘Telanganaku Haritha Haram’ successful in the district.

He participated in the Haritha Haram programme organised by the Police Department here at Suddala and Regadimaddi Kunta Villages in Sulthanabad mandal of Peddapalli district.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA D Manohar Reddy said that by implementing Haritha Haram project successfully, the environment which is polluted by various types of human activities can be purified.

Everyone must participate in the plantation programme along with protecting the planted saplings. Sustenance of mankind possible only with survival of large number of plants and trees. Without trees, rains would not be witnessed and without rains number of problems will arise making living impossible for mankind along with turning the entire world into desert, he pointed.

To maintain the balance of the nature, it is must that everyone must play active role in planting the saplings along with giving protection to them.

The plants by absorbing polluted air which contains carbon dioxide releases living gas Oxygen to the atmosphere along with providing us various kinds of eatables that contain proteins, vitamins and fats which are essential for healthy living of human beings, he observed.

The officials must cooperate with the people in planting the saplings in villages, surrounding the bunds of lakes and tanks and SRSP canal and also on either side of roads, he suggested. About 18 lakhs of saplings are planted under Ramagundam Commissionerate limits by the police officials which is a good sign, appreciated the MLA.

The District Superintendent of Police Vijayendar Reddy, Assistant Commissioner of Police Sindhu Sharma, Circle Inspector Ramulu, Suddala Village Sarpanch Anjali Ananth Reddy, Market Committee Chairmen, ZPTC’s and MPTC’s were present along with others.
