Karimnagar: Task force officials nabbed two persons for cheating people in the name of OLX global online marketing app, in Karimnagar on Monday.

According to the Commissioner of Police, V B Kamalasan Reddy, the accused, identified as Junaid Khan (21), son of Ayub Khan, resident of Kharkana gadda; and Mohammad Azeem (20), son of Moin, resident of Vijayanagar colony of Bommakal, have been cheating the people from the last four months through OLX online marketing website.

Junaid and Azeem will approach the persons, who post their items to sell on the website OLX, as purchasers.

They will see the items and will request the owners to give the items to them so that they can show them to their parents, who stay nearby.

Then they will escape from there along with the items. After receiving multiple complaints from the people, the police started investigation and nabbed the duo here on Monday. They recovered various items worth Rs 1.3 lakh from them.

Commissioner of Police Kamalasan Reddy appreciated the Task Force officials Md Gouse Baba, S Srinivas Rao, E Kiran, B Santosh and P Naga Raju, who nabbed the accused.
