Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary celebrated in Karimnagar

Karimnagar: Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is great personality and freedom fighter, who was responsible for the merger of many princely States that were existing even after India got independence, for strengthening unity and integrity of the nation, said District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed.

The district administration celebrated the birth anniversary of Sardar on a grand note by garlanding his portrait at the Collectorate auditorium here on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector lauded the efforts of Sardar Patel, who strived hard for keeping the integrity of the nation. Because of him, as many as 560 princely States were merged in India.

For building the future India the services rendered by Sardar Patel were highly valuable. Because of him India has emerged as one of the powerful country in the world with strong economic system.

Sardar Patel will be remembered forever, who laid firm foundation for the development of the country, he said. Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed administered national unity pledge by the officials of various departments on the occasion.
