Karimnagar: The officials of departments concerned were directed to take measures to prevent the spread of seasonal diseases in villages. District Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed chaired a review meeting with district officials, MPDOs and village secretaries at the Collectorate conference hall here on Wednesday.

Speaking at the meeting, the Collector ordered the officials to take necessary steps for maintaining the surroundings neat and clean for preventing the spread of diseases like dengue, malaria and seasonal diseases. They were also told to observe every Friday as Dry-Day. Sarfaraz ordered the District Malaria Officer to take steps for spraying of anti-malaria spray in all villages along with supplying abbet medicine to all Primary Health Centres (PHCs) present in the district.

He ordered the village secretaries to pass the information immediately to the PHCs as soon as they notice the registration of diseases like dengue and malaria in their respective villages. The Collector ordered the District Medical and Health Officer to conduct a medical camp in the villages immediately after noticing the registration of dengue and malaria cases in the respective villages.

City Municipal Commissioner Shashank, Trainee Collector Praveenya, District Medical and Health Officer Dr Rajesham, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Padmaja Rani, District Revenue Officer Venkateshwar Rao, District Panchayat Raj Officer Narayana Rao, District BC Welfare Officer Saroja and SC Corporation E.D were present along with others.
