GWMC proposes Grand Entrances
The Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) has proposed to construct ‘Grand Entrances’ at six entry points that lead into the city. Municipal commissioner Shruti Ojha on Tuesday has directed the corporation officials to prepare cost estimations related to the construction of the entrances.

Municipal commissioner Shruti Ojha on Tuesday has directed the corporation officials to prepare cost estimations related to the construction of the entrances.
Ojha along with Kakatiya Urban Development Authority planning officer E Ajith Reddy and representatives of Lea Associates visited the locations where the constructions are proposed. The Corporation has planned to construct the entrances on Warangal-Karimnagar road, Warangal-Hyderabad road and Warangal-Mulug road on National Highway 163, on Warangal-Khammam road (State Highway 8), Narsampet road and Arepally-Kantathmakur road (major district road-16).
The Commissioner explained the officials regarding the precautions to be taken during the design and construction. She wanted the entrances design to reflect Kakatiya heritage and the proposals must be submitted at the earliest.
