Stress on services to patients in PHCs
District Collector M Champalal has said that the services rendered by the primary health center staff to patients should be noticeable and could be monitored from the perspective of quality assurance. He felt that necessary amenities should be provided to the PHC staff.

Presiding over the National Quality Assurance Committee meeting held here on Wednesday, he said that 22 primary health centers and two community health centers would be groomed to serve the patients from the perspective of quality assurance.
He asked the district medical and health officers to review the performance and identify the lacunae in the second week of December and review the results in the third and fourth week of December. He asked the district medical and health officer to hold a meeting with his or her deputies once in a fortnight to keep the PHCs neat and clean, especially the toilets and beds in various wards. The hospital atmosphere should be able to cure the disease to a large extent.
He insisted on proper reception of the patient so that the people feel like receiving treatment in government hospitals. District Medical and Health Officer Subbarayudu said that 106 leprosy cases, including 17 in Lohavelli and 16 in Dahegam were identified in Kumurambheem district. He asked medical and health volunteers to undertake door-to-door visits to identify lepers.
He told the Anganwadi and ASHA workers to sensitise people on the disease. The leprosy will be cured with the help of multi-drug therapy. He said that paramedical staff members – A Siva Kumar, Madhusudan Reddy, Raja Veer and Jagjivan Reddy - were appointed as programme managers.
