Hanamkonda: The Kakatiya University SDLCE Director Prof Ch Dinesh Kumar has appealed the staff to make dedicated efforts towards the revival of past of glory of the distance education wing. He addressed the non-teaching employees of the School of Distance Education and Continuing Learning (SDLCE) at a meeting at the seminar hall at the school on Thursday, marking the recent beginning of distance wing academic year.
Prof Dinesh Kumar asked the employees to maintain office timings strictly to deliver the services to the students in an effective manner. He informed that efforts were being made to seek approval from the Distance Education Bureau (DEB) for the proposals submitted for 23 new courses.
Similarly, the DEB was requested to give its assent to reintroduce the courses offered in the past by the SDLCE and withdrawn following the DEB directions. The issue was also taken to the noticed of Union Human Resources Minister Prakash Javadekar, the Director said. The SDLCE Daily Wage Employees Association president Shaganti Srinivas has urged the Director to initiate measures to address the employees’ problems.
