Inspectors spar over taking charge of the post

Warangal: Two police inspectors in the city have reportedly entered into heated arguments over assuming charge of a post at city women’s police station at Ramannapet in Warangal.

According to sources, an inspector K Sridhar was transferred to the women’s police station recently and he arrived at the police station on Monday to take the charge. But the serving inspector Suvarna refused to hand over the charge as she didn’t receive relieving orders from higher ups.

But the newly posted inspector insisted on handing over the charge and this led to heated arguments between the two officials for some time, much to the surprise police personnel and complainants at the police station.

Later the issue was taken to the notice of the Commissioner of Police G Sudheer Babu and was yet to be resolved, the sources added.
