Karimnagar: Choppadandi MLA Bodige Shobha said that Bommalamma Gutta will be developed into a tourism destination. Speaking at the Padya Kavi Sammelanam (poets’ meet) organised by the district administration near Bommalamma Gutta at Kurikyala village under Gangadhara mandal on Wednesday, she referred Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s comments that Kanda Padyam , a prosodic form of Telugu poetry, had originated from Kurikyala village hundreds of years ago.

“A road at an estimated cost of Rs 2.77 crore has already been sanctioned. This apart, a stairway will also be a reality soon,” Shobha said, commending the district administration for organising poets’ meet in Kurikyala for the first time.
