The student activists of Kakatiya University have played a significant role in separate Telangana agitation, stated KU Students JAC leader Sadu Rajesh. In recognition to their contributions, the Kakatiya University Students Joint Action Committee (KU Students JAC) is organising a felicitation programme on the university campus on December 5 at 10 am, he said.

Hanamkonda: The student activists of Kakatiya University have played a significant role in separate Telangana agitation, stated KU Students JAC leader Sadu Rajesh. In recognition to their contributions, the Kakatiya University Students Joint Action Committee (KU Students JAC) is organising a felicitation programme on the university campus on December 5 at 10 am, he said.

Speaking to press persons at the university on Friday, he said following the launch of indefinite hunger strike by the TRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao on November 29 2009, the KU activists have launched serious agitations and taken up hunger strike till December 9.

The felicitation (Alai-balai) would be attended by TSCHE chairman Prof T Papi Reddy, MP A Seetaram Naik, MLA D Vinay Bhasker, Civil Supplies Corporation chairman P Sudharshan Reddy, KUDA chairman M Yadava Reddy, vice-chancellors of Ambedkar Open University and Telangana University Prof K Seetarama Rao and P Sambaiah.

The KU Students JAC founding convener K Vasudeva Reddy, GWMC corporator J Ramesh and market committee chairman B Rajani Kumar would be felicitated. The JAC leaders B Virender, K Saidi Reddy, Feroze Pasha and Chirra Raju appealed the students to attend the programme in large numbers.
