Warangal: American Progressive Telugu Association (APTA) medical wing is going to conduct a mega free medical camp in Warangal on Sunday (December 10).

The city Congress working president Rajanala Srihari, who is acting as the camp local coordinator, told presspersons in Warangal on Friday that more than 25 specialist doctors will be diagnosing the patients attending the medical camp.

After diagnosing, the patients will be given required medicines free of cost. APTA India operations division will also be taking part in the camp and has been making all required arrangements for the medical camp. Koosam Govinda Rao and Koosam Madhav of APTA India operations division have donated the funds that is required to purchase 150 spectacles to distribute to the patients with eye-defects, Srihari informed.

The TPCC former president Ponnala Lakshmaiah, MLA Konda Surekha, MLC Konda Muralidhar Rao and GWMC mayor N Narender will take part in the inaugural ceremony of the camp.

The APTA, which was established in the year 2008, has also been offering scholarships worth Rs 1.5 crore every year, besides conducting medical camps. This year medical camps are conducted at Guntakal, Ramachandrapuram and Maiduker in AP.

The party leaders K Sadanandam and Dr T Prabhakar Reddy are also engaged in coordinating in conducting the camp while Kapu Sangham leader T Tirupathaiah and EV Srinivas Rao, S Ravi and others lending their support for the camp.
