Sircilla: District Labour Officer Mohammad Rafi ordered the owners of shops, offices and various organisations to arrange the name plate written in Telugu language. Marking World Telugu Maha Sabhalu, the State government had issued orders to arrange the name plates of all shops, offices and various organisation written in Telugu. Based on these orders, District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar ordered the District Labour Officer to check shops and offices in Sircilla Town.

The Labour Officer, Mohammad Rafi, inspected various shops and offices in the town on Monday and issued notices to about nine shops, who didn’t change the name plate, and ordered the owners to get the name plate written in Telugu immediately. Cases will be filed against those, who violate the rule, he warned.

The DLO Mohammad Rafi said as per the Telangana Shops and Organisations Act-1988, the owners of shops and various organisation must arrange the name plates of their establishments written in Telugu language. According to section 29 (12), notices will be issued to the shops, which didn’t change their name plates, as first offence. They were told to set up Telugu name plates within one week. If they don’t respond to the notices, then cases will be lodged against them in Civil Court, Mohammad Rafi warned.
