The 16th edition of SR Champions Trophy 2018-South Indian Inter Engineering Collegiate (T-20) Cricket Tournament is scheduled to be held from to January 3 to 9. The cricket tourney will be held simultaneously at SR Engineering College campus at Ananthasagar in Warangal and SR International Institute of Technology in Hyderabad.

Warangal: The 16th edition of SR Champions Trophy 2018-South Indian Inter Engineering Collegiate (T-20) Cricket Tournament is scheduled to be held from to January 3 to 9. The cricket tourney will be held simultaneously at SR Engineering College campus at Ananthasagar in Warangal and SR International Institute of Technology in Hyderabad. The tournament is open to colleges in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Pondicherry and Tamil Nadu states.

A cash prize of Rs 50,000 will be awarded to the winners apart from 1st runners, 2nd and 3rd runner-up trophies along with individual medals, merit and participation certificates. Prizes to the best batsman, best bowler, best fielder, best al- rounder, man of the final match, man of the tournament and man of the match for every match will also be given, said the organisers here on Monday.

SR Group of Institutions Chairman A Varada Reddy along with the College Principal V Mahesh, Sports Committee Chairman and tournament coordinator P Pramod Kumar and physical director P Srinivas has released the tournament publicity poster.

Every participating team will be provided breakfast, lunch and dinner, along with local conveyance and accommodation facility at the Youth Hostel in Hanamkonda. For officials, physical directors and HCA umpire, the accommodation will be at SR campus at Ananthasagar and in Hyderabad campus for all the participants and officials.

MIT, Pondicherry won the 15th SR Champion’s Trophy while SR Engineering College, Warangal 1st runners up and Geetham University, Hyderabad 2nd runners and CBIT, Hyderabad 3rd runners up.
