A team of German tourists were flattered at the rich natural beauty and historic places in the district. The team consisting of 14 members visited Blackberry Island in Eturnagaram Wildlife Sanctuary on Wednesday. 

Jayashanker-Bhupalpally: A team of German tourists were flattered at the rich natural beauty and historic places in the district. The team consisting of 14 members visited Blackberry Island in Eturnagaram Wildlife Sanctuary on Wednesday.

They first visited Medaram Sammakka-Saralamma temple and later went on trekking in the forests of Blackberry Island. They were guided by Bhupalpally District Eco-Tourism Coordinator Suman Kalyanapu. According to him the German team associated with Sri Sai Spiritual Sathsang in that country came to the district to visit Manosaraswathi School at Narsapur in Venkatapuram mandal at the invitation from a local Sai Reddy Choleti.

On learning about the Eturnagaram Wildlife Sanctuary and eco-tourism activities there they expressed interest to visit the place. Mathew Joseph told Suman that they felt very happy at the rich natural beauty of the sanctuary and the eco-tourism activities.

The Germans were planning to visit the place again in another 20 days on a two-day visit to go around Dolmens at Dameravai forests and other places in Bhupalpally, Suman said. Base camp personnel Venkat and Department Ministerial staff accompanied the team.
