Warangal: The Commissioner of Police G Sudheer Babu asked the residents living in colonies under Intezargunj police station limits to install closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras for better security of their surroundings.
He along with senior police officials addressed public at Kashibugga area in Warangal on Monday following a cordon and search conducted under the police station limits. He said the search was meant to ensure safety of the public.
The Commissioner of Police told the youth to focus on studies and stay away from unlawful activities, while asking women to be alert when dealing with unidentified persons visiting their areas. If anyone was found suspicious, the residents should inform the police, he added.
Sudheer Babu explained the initiatives launched for women safety and wanted them to use police WhatsApp number to reach the police for assistance in the case of any problem.
Nearly 100 police personnel, ACP Prabhakar Rao, DCP Venkat Reddy, Mattewada circle inspector M Ravi Kumar, Intezargunj circle inspector Ch Ravi Kumar and 14 sub-inspectors have taken part on the search. During about 38 two wheelers that lack registration plates and other documents were seized.
