Peddapalli: District Collector Devasena directed the officials to prepare proposals for the construction of airport in the district, as the State government was decided to construct the airport in the district.
Along with the officials concerned, she on Wednesday inspected the proposed site for the construction of airport in Peddapalli.
Speaking on the occasion, Collector Devasena told the officials to submit complete details of 291.34 acres in Basant Nagar and on the outskirts of Palakurthy mandal for airport construction.
Once the airport is constructed, the district will have more industries and more business establishments, besides tourism development. Palakurthy Tahsildar Venugopal Rao and district officials were present.
