The celestial wedding of Lord Rama with His Consort Sita was celebrated with gaiety at various temples and other venues in the district on Monday, on the occasion of Sri Ramanavami.
Karimnagar: The celestial wedding of Lord Rama with His Consort Sita was celebrated with gaiety at various temples and other venues in the district on Monday, on the occasion of Sri Ramanavami.
Large number of devotees thronged the temples to witness the celestial wedding. Celebrations and prayers held throughout the day in many temples. All the temples were decorated for the occasion.
Veeranjaneya Swamy temple at Bharat theatre road, Kapishwaralayam at Kasmirgadda, Vasavi Kanyaka Parameshwari Alayam, Varasidhi Vinyaka Swamy temple at Prakashganj, Ganesha Sharada Shankaralayam at Gayatrinagar and in Sri Murali Krishna Mandiram at Sainagar, the devotees made a beeline to have Lord darshan.
Zilla Parishad chairperson Tula Uma, MLC Naradasu Lakshman Rao, Commissioner of Police V B Kamalasan Reddy, DRO Chennaiah, former MP Ponnam Prabhakar, Former Minister Peddireddy and the Temple Committee Chairman Sanjeev Reddy were present.
