Karimnagar: The government will always extend its helping hand and support for the development of weaker sections, said Finance Minister Eatala Rajendar.He attended as the chief guest at 111th birth anniversary of Babu Jagjivan Ram here at Civil Hospital Chowrastha on Thursday.

The Minister paid rich tributes by garlanding the statue of Babu Jagjivan Ram.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Rajendar said that Jagjivan Ram was one of the great leaders of India, who fought for the betterment of weaker sections. He rendered his services for the sake of nation.

Compared to other countries, there are many castes in India. There should not be differences among the people belonging to different castes and religions, he said.

The Minister said that Ambedkar Bhavan and Jagjivan Ram Bhavan will be constructed by investing Rs 5 crores each in the district. The government also sanctioned Rs 3 crores for the construction of Bhavans for various castes.

The State government is going to introduce more welfare schemes for weaker sections of people present across the State. The people must utilise them and must develop financially, he said.

MLA Gangula Kamalakar, Chairman of the State Cultural Department Rasamai Bala Kishan, Choppadandi MLA Bodiga Shoba Rani, MLC Naradasu Lakshman Rao, City Mayor Ravinder Singh, Deputy Mayor G Ramesh, Joint Collector Bhadri Srinivas, Commissioner of Police Kamalasan Reddy, Commissioner of City Municipal Corporation Shashank, Fomer MP Ponnam Prabhakar and the Corporators were present.
