Nalgonda: Chandur police on Tuesday busted a fake job racket and arrested three persons. According to Chandur CI Ramesh Kumar, the king pin of the racket, Shaik Saleem, is a native of Chandur mandal and working as a home guard in Hyderabad.

In order to earn easy money, Saleem along with his friends G Giridhar and K Ramakrishna hatched a plan to dupe jobless youth on pretext of providing home guard jobs to them.

According to their plan, the trio collected Rs 11 lakh from nine unemployed youth who belong to Karimnagar, Warangal and Hyderabad.

Few months ago, Saleem approached Santosh, a resident of Chandur mandal and informed the latter that he was ready to help him secure a home guard job if was ready to give Rs 2 lakh as a bribe to superiors.

Santosh accepted Saleem’s offer and paid Rs 20,000 as a token advance. After few days when Santosh started calling Saleem over phone to know the status of his job, he started getting different answers from Saleem.

Suspecting Saleem’s behavior, Santosh approached Chandur police. Following the directions of police on Tuesday, Santosh invited Saleem to take the rest of the payment.

Believing Santosh, Saleem along with his friends Giridhar and Ramesh Kumar came to Chandur to collect the money from Santosh.

Soon the police caught them and seized their Scorpio vehicle.
