Karimnagar: The police personnel, who play key role in cracking down cases, will be given rewards on every third Saturday in the presence of top cops, said Commissioner of Police VB Kamalasan Reddy.
He conducted UI Mela for the police officials of Karimnagar, Karimnagar Rural and Huzurabad divisions present under Karimnagar Commissionerate limits here on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner said cracking down of cases will punish the criminals and also will keep a check on crime rate.
He ordered the officials to organise history sheeters mela once in 15 days. Tight security must be arranged by identifying the places, where more criminal acts and road accidents takes place and at those places where there is a chance of communal riots.
The accused involved in SC/ST cases must be arrested within a week and cases should be solved within 60 days. The police personnel must render their services to the people with humanity and must establish cordial relations with them, advised the Commissioner.
Kamalasan Reddy ordered the officials to take necessary steps for installation of atleast 500 CCTV cameras in each mandal.
Disciplinary actions would be taken against the police personnel and officials, who indulge in illegal sand transport and land encroachment cases, he warned.
