Luxettipet people sing national anthem
Based on the proposal of a government school teacher, Kotta Suresh, the officials of Luxettipet wanted to initiate mass singing of national anthem in their area. Health Assistant MD Gafoor of the town recently opened Luxettipet WhatsApp group, which became a forum for the town people to share several common things.

Suresh’s proposal on the social platform got wide support from people of all sections. The group member and Tahsildar Sampati Srinivas discussed with members on the implementation of the idea.
WhatsApp group steering committee members went to Jammikunta, where similar programme was being conducted and checked how they were conducting mass singing of national anthem. They interacted with I Prasant Reddy and benefited from his experience.
A controlling point was set up at Tahsildar office in Luxettipet. Eight points were identified in the town and installed 3o mike sets within a radius of three kilometers.
The national anthem will be played at 9.30 am on every day. Prior to that patriotic songs will be aired for 30 minutes.
A siren will go off two minutes prior to mass singing time to prepare the residents for the feat. For about 52 seconds, people will stand up and sing the national anthem.
Circle Inspector Nagapuri Srinivas said that youth proved that they can achieve anything and wanted the spirit of the activity to continue and raise above narrow considerations.
Health Assistant MD Gafoor exhorted the youth to use the social networking sites for the development of society.
