Addl SP Avadhani retires a day after promotion
A day after assuming charge as the Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration) on promotion, Chandrasekhar Avadhani, retired on Monday. It was a bit strange but Avadhani, who got the promotion of Additional SP on Sunday, had his superannuation a day later.

In a bid to honour the retiring officer, Superintendent of Police Vishnu S Warrier, who was supposed to conduct Praja Diwas, a grievance redressal programme, on Monday has allowed Avadhani to receive the petitions on behalf of him.
Overwhelmed by the SP’s gesture, Avadhani said: “It’s an honour that I would never forget in my life and I thank the SP for providing the opportunity.”Later, the SP felicitated Avadhani and DCRB sub-inspector P Swamy, who also reached superannuation.
Additional SP Sadu Mohan Reddy, Police Association president P Venkateshwarlu, vice-president Sk Tajuddin, secretary Srinivas, members Shivaji Chouhan, G Satyanarayana, CR Gangaram and Chindam Devidas were among others present.
