Corporate level services in govt hospitals soon
District people can have health services at government hospitals on par with corporate hospitals soon, said Health Minister Dr C Laxma Reddy. Karimnagar: District people can have health services at government hospitals on par with corporate hospitals soon, said Health Minister Dr C Laxma Reddy. Minister Laxma Reddy along with Finance Minister Eatala Rajender inaugurated three urban health centres and a dialysis centre in the premises of government main hospital. They also inaugurated a wellness centre for pensioners and journalists and 20-bed Ayush hospital at Ramnagar in Karimnagar on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Health Minister said that Telangana State is heading towards development in all fields, mainly in providing better health services to the poor and middleclass people in government hospitals. The government is giving top priority to health and education sectors. After separate Telangana State formation, several changes were made in health department with the establishment of dialysis centres, ICU centres, laboratories and maternity centres in government hospitals.
Finance Minister Eatala Rajendar said separate Telangana State had witnessed several revolutionary changes in various departments. The main target of the government is to provide quality education and medical services for poor and middleclass people.
Previous governments by giving much priority to private and corporate hospitals had ruined the health care system present in the State, he alleged. The TRS government is providing better health services to the poor people like no other state in the country. A 750-bed hospital with a cost of Rs 500 crores will be constructed in Karimnagar very soon, he assured.
State Press Academy Chairman Allam Narayana said the State government issued health cards to journalists unlike any other State government in the country. Till date 8,900 health cards were issued to journalists, present across the State. Out of this, nearly 3,600 are deriving benefits.
