Vemulawada: Finally, the long wait of the outsourcing employees working with the Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple has come to an end with the district administration entrusting the responsibility of ensuring hassle-free payment of salaries with the Vaaradhi, a non-profit organisation working for the rehabilitation of unemployed youth. This is to put an end to the free run of outsourcing agencies which allegedly fleece and harass the employees.

It may be noted here that following widespread complaints from outsourcing employees, Vemulawada MLA Chennamaneni Ramesh Babu took the issue to the notice of the Endowment Minister A Indrakaran Reddy. There are around 191 outsourcing employees working with the temple.

It is learnt that the outsourcing agencies have been paying salaries to employees by cutting anywhere from Rs 500 to Rs 1,000 in the name of GST and other taxes. The temple authority reportedly pay 3 per cent to Vaaradhi which is presided over by the District Collector Krishna Bhaskar.

Herein and after, the Vaaradhi is to look after the supply of outsourcing employees working with Goshala, housekeeping, sanitation, cooks, electricians, pump operators etc. Meanwhile, the outsourcing workers who met Chennamaneni Ramesh Babu thanked him for addressing their long-pending problem.
