Warangal: Warangal Municipal Corporation Commissioner Vivek Yadav was deputed to Dehradun city in Uttarakhand to oversee the rescue and relief operations where a large number of pilgrims from the state and some from district were stranded. According to the sources he had already left for Dehradun on Tuesday evening. WMC District Collector Rahul Bojja urged the media in Hanamkonda to give the credible information of the Warangal pilgrims stranded in the hilly state to him, so that rescue teams would be alerted to locate them and later bring them to safer places. He disclosed that Joint Collector P S Pradyumna would coordinate with Vivek Yadav to bring back the stranded pilgrims from the district. He urged the general public or relatives to give information of the stranded pilgrims with phone numbers so that instantly it would be faxed or sent to WMC Commissioner Vivek Yadav who would be on special mission until normalcy is restored. He said that rains on Monday at hilly state had affected rescue operations. Meanwhile, Collector Rahul Bojja and JC Pradyumna are busy interacting with the rescue officials overseeing the operations in Uttarkhand on Tuesday.
