Warangal: DIG of police Dr M Kantha Rao called for greater coordination among the various related wings to protect child rights. He asked for cooperation among the juvenile justice board members, child welfare committees, voluntary organisations, district probationary and child welfare officers.

He was participating in one-day workshop on Juvenile Justice Act–2000 at Kakatiya University in Hanamkonda on Monday.
Pointing out that the child marriages are in violation of child rights, he asked the police and NGOs to stop this tradition as is prevalent in some remote villages. Talking to the police officers on the reports of some organizers taking children in their protest rallies, he warned that stringent action would be taken against the erring organisers. He directed the officials to take severe action against the managements employing the child labour .

Warangal Urban SP A Venkateshwar Rao, Rural SP G Palaraju, ASP Srikant, Juvenile Justice Board members D Renuka Devi, Parushuramulu, child welfare committee members Revathi Devi, district probationary officer Charuvaka, District Child Protection officer Venkataramana, ASPs, DSPs, and CIs were present.
