Fake certificates racket busted

The district urban Central Crime Station (CCS) police have on Sunday arrested the kingpin in the fake physically challenged certificates racket that caused much sensation in the district. The arrested person called as Bandi Ramesh of Cheryal in Warangal district was accused of supplying fake physically challenged certificates to the candidates who have appeared for DSC examinations to get jobs in government schools in PH quota.

Warangal: The district urban Central Crime Station (CCS) police have on Sunday arrested the kingpin in the fake physically challenged certificates racket that caused much sensation in the district. The arrested person called as Bandi Ramesh of Cheryal in Warangal district was accused of supplying fake physically challenged certificates to the candidates who have appeared for DSC examinations to get jobs in government schools in PH quota.
It might be noted that the rural police have booked criminal cases against 16 teachers who were accused of getting employment with fake deaf and dumb certificates. The case was booked after a complaint lodged by the District Education Office (DEO) at Subebari police station some time back. During the investigation, the role of Ramesh came to fore. He along with some others have bribed staff at Government ENT Hospital in Hyderabad and the education department here to ensure jobs to whom they provided fake certificates.
Interestingly, he too used fake physically handicapped certificate to get into irrigation department as Divisional Account Officer (DAO) by appearing for Group-I examination in 2012. Earlier in the year 2006, he got school assistant job in the similar manner. The police have seized Rs 61 lakhs fixed deposits, 425 grams gold biscuits and three kilograms of silver bars, ornaments and fake physically challenged certificates from the arrested person. The others would soon be arrested informed urban DSP (crimes) Prakash Rao.
Urban superintendent of police A Venkateshwara Rao announced rewards to DSP Prakash Rao, CCS inspector Bala Swamy, head constable Rameh, constables Ravinder and Rajaram Naik for cracking the case.
