Warangal: Seemandhra leaders who failed to respond when one thousand youth ended life for the cause of separate Telangana are now conspiring to stall bifurcation of the state in the name of Telugu people unity, alleged TRS MLA T Harish Rao.
The Seemandhra leaders have never treated Telangana people and leaders honourably and never gave their due share in development and in power. The same leaders now talk about the self-respect of Telugus only to deceive the people once again, he said.
Referring to the reported hunger strike by YSRCP leader YS Jaganmohan Reddy seeking ‘equal justice’ the TRS leader demanded to know why he has not taken up fast when people of Telangana came out onto roads demanding statehood to the region and thousands died. Jagan and the TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu should end their drama and come out clearly what they mean by the equal justice, Harish Rao asked addressing a press conference here on Friday. Both the TDP and YSRCP failed to react when crores of ‘Telugu people’ in Telangana came onto the roads seeking statehood.
The TDP leadership claims that the party took birth only to end Congress misrule and now joining hands with the same party. Naidu should explain why his party leaders joining hands with Congress and YSRCP leaders in running Seemandhra agitations, the TRS leader demanded. Coming down heavily on chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy he said the CM was making superfluous comments and warning his own party high command. The CM has no moral right to continue in his chair and the Congress high command should immediately remove him. The party leaders B Vinod Kumar, Peddi Sudharshan Reddy, T Ravinder Rao, and others were present.
